Customer Q & A
Advice from the Pro's At RecStuff.com
Q: My RV tires have a 10 PR Load Range. What does this mean and how does it relate to E rating?
A: The load range or ply rating identifies how much load (load capacity or rating) your tire is designed to carry. The ST235/80 R16 load range E is a 10 ply radial tire has the load capacity of 3500lbs. On the sidewall of your tire it should be marked/stamped with the tire load capacity. Furthermore:

Q: I have a boat trailer that has a swing tongue that I am going to put surge brakes on. Will your brake line "Item Number: BL005" be a good choice for my application? It will need to be able flex about 90 degrees or a little more each time the tongue is swung aside.
A: The flexible brake line that we stock should work for your swing tongue application. You will want to check the measurements and see if the 48" line will be long enough, so when your trailers tongue swings it has enough line flexibility and does not pull or kink. Another suggestion would be to put some convoluted tubing around the brake line to prevent your trailer rubbing against the line which could weaken it, if you do not use the tubing be sure to check the line often for rubbing or wear.
Q: If I buy wheel + tire, and you mount it, does it come with the valve stem installed and inflated?
A: Yes Our tire and wheel assemblies include free valve stem, mounting and inflation.
Q: im looking for a nice aluminum or black and machined trailer wheel for 5 on 5 bolt pattern
A: Unfortunately we do not carry any 5 on 5 wheels. I do apologize about the inconvenience, thanks for viewing the site.
Q: Will a P/N WS808(8X7 4/4 White Bell Trailer Wheel) for the 215/60-8 6 ply tire fit on a Club Car golf cart or is the center hole and 4 lug nut holes different then for trailers? Thank you
A: Unfortunately there is no way for me to cross reference the two. You should be able to find the wheel size either on the wheel itself, or in the carts manual. As for the bolt pattern, it is fairly simple to measure. Here is a guide to easily determine the bolt pattern of your wheels: Click here to view the guide. Otherwise we also have a printable template that can be used to determine your bolt pattern, simply print and hold up to the wheel. We do have some aluminum golf cart wheels coming to the site shortly. Check Back here soon.

Q: I have a 30ft tandem axle travel trailer just need to make sure the spoke galvanized will work. the size of the wheel is 15X6 w/5/4.5. thanks for the help
A: Yes, the 15x6 Galvanized wheels (5 lug) have a 4.5" bolt Circle.
They have a max load capacity of 2580lbs/ wheel. Meaning with (4) wheels you would have a load capacity of 10,320lbs. The center hole measures 3.3"
Q: Looking for a spare trailer rim. 15X6 5/4.5 White Spoke Trailer Wheel.
Need bolt pattern to be exactly 4 ½”
How do I tell if I have 5.5" or 6 " width rim?
A: On your old rim the size should be stamped somewhere in the rim. Keep in mind that after paint this stamping on the rim may become very hard to see. Sometimes you have to catch it at just the right angle to read the size. Otherwise you can make a pretty good guess by using the tire size. It is common for a 205/75/15 to be mounted on a 15x5.5 or 15x5 , and it is common for a 225/75/15 to be mounted on a 15x6. A 215/75/15 Can be mounted on either rim. All of our blemished wheels are available for sale on eBay. Here is a link to a 15x6 5 hole on a 4.5" bolt pattern. The wheel in that link may have minor cosmetic defects. We also do carry these wheels brand new. Here is the linkto the brand new 15x6 5Hole.
Q: Will your WS815 (8X7 4/4 Galvanized Bell Trailer Wheel) wheel work with a 22x11x8 tire? This is for a 6x6 Amphibious, so I will need (6). Thanks in Advance,
A: A 22x11x8 Tire typically takes an 8x8 inch wheel, or an 8x8.5 even. Unfortunately the largest wheel we stock is an 8x7. Sorry for the inconvenience but thanks for checking out RecStuff.com!
Q: Just received my 12in trailer tire & wheel assemblies and was wondering if they have been balanced or do I need to have that done?
A: They are not balanced. Typically trailer tire assemblies are not balanced out of the factory. If you balance your trailer tires and then pull the trailer unloaded for some distance, the trailer will tend to bounce due to the light load and more often then not, throw the weights from the wheels. Every time this occurs, the assembly would need to be ‘re-balanced’. This being said, they definitely can be balanced if you choose to do so.
Q: will these hubcaps/ wheel covers fit the harbor freight trailers?
A: These hub caps are designed for golf carts and atv's mainly 8" steel wheels without grease hubs. Because the center of the cap is not hollow, there is no place for a grease hub. If you do not have a grease hub, and your wheels are 8" steel, these should work on your trailer. If you have any other questions concerning the measurements of these hub caps please feel free to contact us
